The Sony PlayStation VR review units arrived at tech sites and the first unboxing videos of the Sony PS VR arrived.

The Sony PlayStation VR will be released on October 13. The Sony PS VR launch makes or breaks consumer virtual reality in 2016 and beyond. Sony has sent out PS VR review units to a select list of tech news sites. Full Sony PlayStation VR reviews are released next week, but the first unboxing videos have arrived including one from Sony itself.

The Sony PS VR Core Bundle In the U.S. and Canada come with the PS VR headset and processor unit, wired stereo headphones, all required cabling and the PS VR Demo Disc, which contains 18 demos including Here They Lie and Battlezone.

The PS VR unboxing video published by Sony shows each of the items you find in the box. Ars Technica goes a step further and connects everything and tries on the PS VR. The video below shows that the PS VR requires a lot of cables. The processor unit needs to be connected to the PS4 and the headset, but also can be hooked up to the TV for mirror and separate game mode.

Ars Technica's Kyle Orland attributes the PS VR to be big on comfort to wear.

The Sony PS VR will be in stock on launch day at Best Buy, Walmart and GameStop. Best Buy will host midnight PS VR launch events starting at 12:01am ET across the nation. This means consumers on the west coast can get their hands on a PS VR already at 9:01pm PT.
