Apple To Launch 3 new iPads in Spring 2017

Apple is all set to release 3 new iPads in 2017 with improved specs and design. However, don't expect drastic changes.

A Japanese blog Mac Otakara is claiming that Apple is to introduce three new iPad Pro models in spring 2017. These iPad Pro model will come in 7.9, 9.7, and 10.1 inch sizes.

The report cites it has gained information from reliable sources. It claimed that the 12.9 inch model will be featuring a True Tone display just like its 9.7 inch counterpart. It will contain four channel ambient light sensors which will have a sensitivity to change their color and intensity as per the surrounding environment. It is also said that the 12.9 inch iPad Pro will have the same 12 megapixel iSight camera found in the 9.7 inch model too.

In addition, the 7.9 inch model will be a successor to the iPad mini 4 and thus will have a a Smart Connector, again a true tone display, four main speakers and the same camera features found in iPad mini 4. The features are very much comparable because according to Apple it develops them to make a standardized line up.

Currently the iPad has dual setup of microphones but in the near future we will see all the iPad Pro models gaining quad microphones and will also maintain 3.5 mm headphone jacks. The report received today actually reaffirms the claim given by the KGI analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo who said back in August that Apple is to release a trio of new iPads in 2017.

However in his note he also claimed that the trio would have a 12.9 iPad Pro 2, a 10.5 inch iPad and a low budget 9.7 inch iPad too. However Kuo did not mention any introduction of a refreshed 7.9 inch model. Some are speculating that Apple just might ditch the iPad mini line due to its concentration on the larger tablet line.

Also with the addition of the recent 5.5 inch iPhone Plus a decrease in the smallest tablet of Apple has been observed but the reports received today suggest otherwise. Mac Otakara hasn’t always been on track with Apple rumors but then again its sources have at times given accurate predictions.

This blog was the very first to leak that Apple was going to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and also the availability of jet black in iphone 7 Another accurate leak by the blog was iPhone 7’s name scheme, the touch sensitive Home button and even the larger ear piece cut out. It also claimed that the models have a lightning-to-a-3.5 mm audio adapter.

Unfortunately the 3.5mm ear pods were wrong which invalidated the rumors of the Smart Connector. On the other hand the timing was also wrong in its report which said that the new MacBook Air models with USB-C ports would be out in June. The latest report however is that they will be out in early October.
