iPhone 7 has the worst battery life according to Which?
Which? Is a very popular UK consumer magazine followed by many readers around the world? The magazine has recently claimed that the very popular iPhone 7 shows horrible battery life when compared to its other current rival smart phones. The subscriber only magazine conducted a series of tests which used everyday variables to test the performance if iPhone 7 against other Smart phones such as
• Galaxy S7
• HTC 10
• LG 5.
According to which the results of these tests were absolutely disappointing. The magazine claimed that while one may be impressed by the call time of the iphone 7 which is 712 minutes (12hours) it comes as a surprise that its key rival Samsung Galaxy 7 gives twice the call time. Unfortunately the iphone 7 doesn’t even give the longest battery. HTC gave about an incredible 31 hours.
Which? Also stated that 615 minute battery life given by the iPhone 7 is in effect at least 25 minutes less than LG G5 and it even lags behind by 175 minutes from HTC. In addition HTC also offers more 3G internet browsing time than the iPhone 7 call time. However to be honest the poor results of iPhone 7 in the battery test should not come across as a surprise.
This is because the phone has a physical limitation through its 4.7 inch handset. On the other hand its rivals are physically larger ranging from 5.1 to 5.3 inches. The iPhone 7 has a 1960mAh battery in comparison to HTC’s 3000mAh cell but which still blames this as a fault of the iphone 7. Which? Also failed to mention in the test that iPhone 7 Plus gives a 2900mAh battery.
Perhaps it must have done so because it considered the iPhone 7 Plus belong to the larger 5.5 inch handset bracket in which devices such as Galaxy S7 Edge and HTC 10 are categorized. The test furthermore does not bring up the fact that Apple itself has stated in its product specification that the iPhone 7 has a high capacity battery than its predecessor iPhone 6.
Yet Apple continues to get negative criticism in the media and reports continuously disapprove the new flagship phone. Recently the Guardian had an iPhone 7 story just on the basis of its battery life with a mocking title stating how good could a phone be who’s’ battery doesn’t last a day. The paper also claimed that the iPhone 7 had a holding charge even worse than the iPhone 6.
