Campari hires actor Clive Owen for a series of short films.
Actor Clive Owen has a thing for mini films for big brands. He starred in the legendary BMW Films that debuted in 2001 and will make a comeback this year. Today Campari announced that they signed Clive Owens to kick off a new series of mini films.
A departure from its classic calendar photographic stills format, Campari Red Diaries is a series of short films that bring to life the powerful ethos that “every cocktail tells a story.”
Using globally renowned bartenders as narrators, Campari Red Diaries celebrates cocktails as a powerful vehicle for expression, shining a light on the inspirations that influence bartenders and their craft.
The lead story in the series, a mini film noir called Killer in Red, was written and directed by award-winning film maker Paolo Sorrentino and stars Clive Owen.
The premiere of Killer in Red and the unveil of Campari Red Diaries will take place on January 24th, 2017 in Rome, Italy, and the rest of Campari’s Red Diaries content will be released exclusively on Campari’s YouTube channel.
You can watch Clive Owen already this month in the new BMW Flim The Escape. To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the original series, the BMW Films are back with a brand new film.
