Seems like its not just the smartphone Samsung is copying...
Samsung is having a hard time handling the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. While the PR and executive departments are mopping up the mess the design team has decided to go back to their old tactics. Samsung has taken much inspiration from Apple’s playbook and introduced the ArtPC Pulse.
Don't Miss: NES Classic Alternatives are Cheaper
This is a desk top computer which is very much similar in appearance to the Apple Mac Pro which came in to the market almost three years ago in 2013. As far as the visual perspective is concerned the two appear to be very similar but that is where all the similarities end.
Samsung’s offer is not as powerful as the Apple Mac Pro and in addition it does not come with the same price tag too. The ArtPc is about 11 inches tall and has a black full metal body. It also has a circular ambient lighting. The device gives good audio due to its Harmon Kardon 360-degree omni-directional speaker.
The price tag is $1200. Specifications under the hood include Intel core i5 2.GHz processor. It also has 256 GB solid-stave drive as well as 8GB RAM. This combination gives good storage and transfer. In connectivity it includes USB type C ports and HDMI ports. With a payment of an additional $400 you will be able to get an integrated 1TB SSD.
You will also be upgraded to core i7 3.4GHz processor and 16 GB RAM. However no matter which model you choose ArtPC Pulse includes Windows 10 Home signature edition. Now the ArtPC Pulse is definitely not as powerful as what Apple gave us almost three years ago.
This can be understood given the difference in price and also the target market. However the device is elegant and the exterior look is attractive enough to make think about it.
