Here is a list of 7 hidden features of Apple's latest and greatest macOS Sierra.

Now all you proud Mac owners probably use the latest macOS given by Apple most efficiently. But the fact is that there are great chances that you simply interact with features that are up front and centre. You will not be aware of the hidden options that are much powerful and interesting and thus we want you use to your macOS to its full potential.

Most of you must be aware that the macOS Sierra is actually an evolution of the OS X platform and in reality the platform is now more aligned with the mobile platform which is iOS. Now if you don’t have much knowledge of the non publicized features of the macOS sierra and are yet to update your Macbook or iMac do not worry because we have them listed just here for you. Below are some features you just have to know.

Hey Siri!!

Siri is one great addition to MAC but the process of loading is pretty troublesome for some which actually nullifies the whole reason of Siri. Well, the simple solution is you can bring Siri to life much more quickly by holding the buttons CMD + Space for a little more time. However, that’s not all; you can actually set up a voice command through System preferences which will immediately launch the program. This command is very much similar to the ‘hey Siri’ voice command on iOS.

Positioning PiP Window

We all appreciate that macOS Sierra gives us a Picture-in-Picture mode for most of the video streaming website. This feature is great in itself but one thing that irritates many users is that PIP windows only snaps to one corner of the display screen. This is pretty problematic especially if you have a big screen. The solution to this irritating problem is to hold down the CMD button when you position the PIP window. This will allow you to place it anywhere without having to snap the corners.

Space Bar Feature

The iOS gives us a lot to learn and many of the things that have come across to Sierra have made iOS users very much delighted. For those of you who give sheer significance to product gain you are in for good news as Apple has added a double-tap space bar. This will allow to add a period feature in to the macOS platform. You just have to make sure your ‘Add period’ and ‘double space’ is checked in your keyboard settings. You can find those under System preferences.

Notes App Collaboration

Google Drive has had this facility for years. Apple has included it in iWork for the first time. macOs Sierra allows many people to pool resources using the Native Notes similar to what is found in its iOS 10 counterpart. Notes is going to be the most comprehensive editing software but the highlight remains its ability to allow multiple people for modification. You will also be able to share your document over Mail, Messages and major social media websites by simply copy and pasting the link. You can start off by simply clicking on ‘Add people’ on the right side of the interface and your ready to work.

Universal Clipboard

This is an interesting feature which allows information to be copied on a Mac operating on the macOS Sierra and paste it on to an iOS device which is running on iOS 10 and vice versa. It is an absolutely amazing feature but sadly is not known by many.

Hidden Library Folder

Many of us usually pay attention the parts of the system which Apple makes pretty much evident and the Hidden library folder is for those who have much of an inquisitive nature.

Safari Session Reload

The previous versions of OS X allowed you to reopen a closed Safari browser session. You just had to press together CMD + Shift +T button many times to regain your last closed tab. Apple has improved this facility with macOS Sierra and now by pressing the same buttons as before you will get access to multiple closed tabs instead of one. In addition if you have happened to closed a window the same shortcut will allow you to gain access to the same window with all the tabs again. You can also gain those opened tabs even if you quit Safari completely.
