The pre-release version of fring for the iPhone is available for public use now at no charge. The full release version is due for launch later this year and the makers of fring hope to use the pre-release version to iron out any issues with the application.
To use the service you need to download it from fring on what it calls an “open” iPhone. We could assume “Open” to mean unlocked or jail broke. Perhaps the final version will be built using the Apple SDK for the iPhone so any user can try the application.
