Sanyo unveils a new Xacti digital camcorder with the DMX-CA8.
The Sanyo Xacti CA8 is waterproof, has 8MP resolution and the Sanyo "Face Chaser" function now also for video.
With Face Chaser the CA8 can chase up to 6 faces during movie filming.
Other features of the Sanyo Xacti DMX-C8 include JIS IPX5/IPX8 qualification for water resistance, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 high compression, up to 60fps, 5x Optical zoom, Digital Image Stabilizer, talking user interface, window noise reduction, and up to 32GB SDHC card support.
The measurements of the Sanyo CA8 are 70.4 (W) x 111.4 (H) x 40.5 (D)mm and the weight is 258g.
The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA8 will be on sale in Japan from mid-May 2008. If and when the CA8 will be available outside of Japan is not disclosed yet.
