Honda will showcase an experimental walking assist device for elderly and other people with weakened leg muscles.
For a prototype the Honda walking device already looks pretty good.
Honda began research of a walking assist device in 1999. Some of the technology is derived from the Honda Asimo robot project.The Honda Walking Assist will be shown at the International Trade Fair on Barrier Free Equipments & Rehabilitation for the Elderly & the Disabled (BARRIER FREE 2008) which will be held at Intex Osaka, Friday, April 25th through Sunday, April 27th, 2008
