Samsung announces to market new full HD TVs with the new Indiana Jones movie.
The new Samsung HDTV in the rose crystal design line will offer a 50 (LCD) and 58 (Plasma) inch sizes.
The 58 inch Samsung Plasma features a 1:1000,000 contrast ratio achieved with Samsung's Cell Light control.
The Indiana Jones Samsung TVs come with a box of gifts, including DVD and movie tickets. Samsung plans various marketing activities surrounding the Indiana Jones movie launch. The new Indiana Jones movie is in theaters on May 22nd.
It is not clear if Samsung plans a global marketing campaign with Indy or if it’s just limited to Korea.
I wonder what is more expensive. To produce a fake TV show like LG to promote TVs or to buy the marketing rights for Indiana Jones.
