It looks like Intel landed a major hit with their low-cost and low-power ATOM CPUs for portable devices.
According to Digitimes Asustek President Jerry Shen said that the Intel Atom CPU shortage will last until September.
Asus will release a 8.9 inch Asus Eee PC with ATOM CPU in June that will apparently coexist with the current Asus Eee PC 900 (Celeron M CPU).
Intel is expected to ship ATOM CPUs first to major manufacturers and possibly even be able to increase pricing for ATOM chips because of the demand.
