Hiroshi Yamauchi richest Japanese thanks to Nintendo Wii
 
 

Forbes updated their Japan's 40 Richest list and the new number one is retired Nintendo Chairman Hiroshi Yamauchi.

Mr. Yamauchi net worth has risen by $3 billion in the past year thanks to the mega success of the Nintendo Wii. His networth is now $7.8 billion.
The shares of Nintendo have more than tripled in the past two years and the video game company is now worth $79 billion.
Hiroshi Yamauchi owns still 10% of Nintendo.

Overall the 40 wealthiest Japanese Businesspeople are worth $89.9 billion, which is $10.7 billion more than last year.
