HDTVs are going to be one of the hottest gifts for this holiday season. Today we are going to show you some of the best and coolest HDTV sets under 42-inches in screen size. These HDTVs are some of the most affordable on the market. If you want an HDTV, but don’t want to spend big bucks to get it, this list is the article for you. The HDTVs below are in no particular order.


Toshiba REGZA 32HL67U 32-inch 720p HDTV

Toshiba makes some fantastic HDTV sets in its REGZA line. This particular REGZA TV has a 32-inch image in 720p resolution. Built-in tuners include ATSC/NTSC & QAM. The TV also supports 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i resolutions. A VGA D-sub is available for connecting PC input. Other connectivity options include three rear HDMI, one S-Video, two rear component, one rear composite and four rear panel audio inputs.

Samsung LNT4065F 40-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Samsung makes some of the best HDTVs on the market and makes many of the LCD panels used by other manufacturers. This Samsung HDTV has a full 1080p resolution but will do 720p, 1080i, and more resolutions as well. Connectivity options include three HDMI (1.3) ports, two component , two S-video inputs and side mounted inputs. The contrast ratio is an impressive 15000:1 and viewing angles are good at 178 degrees horizontal and vertical. The stand also swivels allowing you to get the best possible image quality.

Sharp Aquos LC32D62U 32-inch 1080p LCD HDTV (also known as the EOS 400D)

This Sharp Aquos HDTV is capable of full 1080p HD resolution. The dynamic contrast ratio is 10000:1 and the panel response time is 6ms. The brightness for the TV is 450 cd/m2 so the picture looks better in bright areas. Built-in tuners include ATSC/QAM/NTSC. A pair of HDMI inputs on the rear, a pair of component inputs, one S-Video, and three composite inputs round out connectivity options.

Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 40-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Sony Bravia HDTVs are some of the most popular around. This particular set has full 1080p resolution and an 1800:1 contrast ratio. Sony includes two HDMI ports, one S-video, two component video, three composite video, one PC video input and one digital audio output.
