Amazon Customers Vote will return for the Holiday shopping season 2007. Amazon landed a huge success with this type of deal promotion last Christmas.
Update:
The voting for the Amazon Customers Vote deals has started. The first round is awesome with $79 Wii and $139 PS3.
Last year your votes got you a chance to buy the Xbox 360 Core for $100, a 30GB Zune for $90 (these days a normal price), or just a chance to get you a Wii or PS3 at MSRP.
The Amazon Customers Vote deals have been sold out within minutes each time and drove also a lot of criticism, as the Amazon site collapsed for a couple minutes in the first rounds of the promotion. Amazon refined the rules quite a bit to not have the site go down when the voted deals get released.
The Amazon Customers Vote 2007 has also new rules and a new concept. Starting on Thursday, Nov. 15th Amazon will reveal all 18 products they will offer to vote on over six rounds. So in each round three products will compete to be offered at a great discount.
Starting November 15th you can vote for your favorite product in each round right away. Then when the product goes on sale in each round you can check if you have been selected randomly to purchase the winning product at the discount.
You only get a chance to buy the product you voted for.
The runner up products will also be available at a discount, but not as steep as the winning product.
The winning product of the first round goes on sale on Thanksgiving day November 22nd.
