T-Mobile Chief Executive Hamid Akhavan said today that the carrier will continue to be the only one in Germany to offer the Apple iPhone according to Reuters.
As reported Apple started making deals with more than one carrier in some countries.
T-Mobile says they have a very good relationship with Apple and will also stay exclusive for the next generation 3G iPhone.T-Mobile is selling the iPhone in Germany heavily subsidized for only 99 Euros in combination with the most expensive plan. Today I was in a T-Mobile shop in Munich and asked about the availability of the iPhone. The shop did not have stock last week, but said that they are still getting a new delivery of 20 iPhones today or tomorrow. After the price-slash demand is very high for the iPhone said the T-Mobile sales person.
In contrast the iPhone is sold out in the UK and also the Apple Online store has had no iPhones in stock for over a week. AT&T said though that they still have enough iPhones.
