Everex is offering a Cloudbook running Windows XP in Taiwan. Everex introduced the Cloudbook in the U.S. with gOS Linux in January.
Apparently Everex (FIC) thinks it needs to also offer a Windows version of this low cost notebook like Asus is doing. It could also be that Microsoft came knocking and offered a sweat deal.
The Cloudbook SC1200T runs on VIA C7M1.2G CPU, has 1GB RAM and a 30GB HDD. The only difference to the Cloudbook with gOS is the bigger RAM.
See also the Everex Taiwan site. Via Liliputing.
I have not heard any Intel Atom plans from Everex yet. MSI and Asus will both release an Atom based low-cost Linux notebook in June.
