To help people in this situation Clarity has a product called the Clarity C120 wireless TV amplifier. The device can amplify TV sound by 50dB and is compatible with TVs, stereos, MP3 players, and more. The device can also be connected to a phone to amplify calls.
Power for the system comes from a pair of included rechargeable batteries good for 4 hours of listening each. You can get just the C120 headphones or a kit with the TV mic and C120. The kit retails for $229.90 and the C120 only sells for $189.95.
