Digitimes reports that Intel is planning to introduce the Centrino 2 platform (Montevina) bundled with SSD by end of Q3 2008.
The new product line would be called Intel High Performance SSD and will mainly targeting enterprise, mid-range and high-end notebooks.
Intel High Performance SSD platforms would come in two versions: Client X25-M and Client X18-M. The first having a 2.5-inch and later 1.8-inch SSD. Both will feature 80GB capacity and a SATA interface.

This new Intel plan could help speed up the decrease of prices for large capacity SSD.
