Asus finally announced the new generation of Asus Eee PCs. We reported aspects and tidbits of the new Intel Atom based Eee PCs, but now Asus has revealed the Asus Eee PC 901, Eee PC 1000 and Eee PC 1000 (H) officially.
The announcement focuses on the new extended battery life, larger screens, and solid state discs. We still need to wait for datasheets of the 901, 1000 and 1000(H) to see the available configurations. The 1000(H) can be configured with a HDD. The Asus Eee 1000 apparently supports a 40GB SSD configuration.
The new Asus Eee PCs are also equipped with an expanded battery that provides up to 7.8 hours of battery life. The exclusive Super Hybrid Engine technology provides three GUI modes to easily adjust CPU frequency, voltage, and LCD brightness to minimize system noise and power consumption saving up to 15% power consumption, or to maximize system performance according to individual needs.
Asus also offers the addition of 20GB of exclusive Internet storage making data backups simple and convenient.
Asus has already sold over 1 million Eee PC computers in just six month.
