Sling Media informed us that they are working on a SlingPlayer mobile for the Apple iPhone and will demonstrate it today in the vicinity of the WWDC 08 in San Francisco.
Sling Media will show a working proof of concept on a jail-broken iPhone. Sling Media is waiting for the official release of the iPhone SDK and the iPhone 2.0 firmware to develop the final version for release to the public.
Sling Media will hold live demonstrations of this client on the iPhone and iPod Touch for those attending the WWDC. Product Manager Vicky Shum will be at the Starbucks at 120 4th Street, San Francisco (across from the Metreon) between 10:00 and 16:00 (10am and 4pm) on Monday, June 9th.
Engadget already published a video showing the iPhone SlingPlayer in action.
Orb Networks already released an iPhone client to stream live TV on the iPhone a month ago.
