The new iPhone 3G will go on sale on July 11th in 22 markets at rather competive pricing. UK and Germany will even see a free iPhone 3G. The new low price and the ever so high hype around the iPhone 3G is bad news for carriers that did not make a deal with Apple.
BusinessWeek has published an article on the impact the iPhone 3G will have on rivals.
To compete with AT&T carriers will most likely increase subsidies on their own smartphones, lower service prices and burn more money for marketing.
