The Download Day is over! Mozilla set a new Guinness World Record with the most downloads in 24 hours. Since the record did not exist before, 1 download would have been enough, but the final download number is very impressive.
As almost expected the servers got overloaded in the beginning yesterday but they recovered and 8,249,092 downloads world-wide have been delivered.
The United States has the most downloads of Firefox 3 world-wide with 2.5m. Germany is 2nd with an amazing 661,751 downloads. What is very interesting is that Iran has more downloads than China or Russia.
The World Record needs to be reviewed now by the Guinness World Record people to become official.
In any case I am very happy how Firefox 3 works for me so far.
