This week we already reported about leaked information and photos of the Asus Eee 903, Eee 904 and Eee 905. Now PC Retail has confirmed that Asus is actually going to offer the Asus Eee PC 904 HD, that has a hard-drive instead of SSD.
The Asus Eee PC 904 HD is supposed to be priced under $500. As I reported yesterday Asus needs to get the prices under $400 to get back the appeal of the original Asus Eee series and to compete to the MSI Wind U90.
The Asus Eee PC 904 HD features an 8.9 inch screen in the larger Asus Eee PC 1000 housing, which has the benefit of allowing a larger more usable keyboard.
The new Asus Eee PC 904 HD is already supposed to ship in the UK in the next couple of weeks.
