Sony released the PS3 firmware 2.40 on July 2nd. After a couple of hours Sony removed the system update due to reports of some bricked PS3 consoles. CVG reports today that Sony is apparently releasing a new PS3 firmware 2.41 that will have the issues resolved by Wednesday.

The release date for 2.41 is not official yet. CVG received the information of a mid-week release from Sony support.
