Sony announces a new 80GB Sony PS3 console to sell for $399.99 starting in September.

The 80GB Sony PS3 will replace the 40GB PS3 at that price point. So Sony follows Microsoft in offering more storage for the same price for their consoles.
A larger hard-drive definitely makes sense now with the new Playstation Video Store.
