Metal Gear Solid 4 seems responsible for the dramatic sales increase of the Sony PS3 in June.
According to NPD, the Sony PS3 sold 405,500 units in June, up from 208,700 consoles in May.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is the top selling video game in June, replacing Grand Theft Auto 4, which was number one since April.
Microsoft also sold more Xbox 360 consoles in June compared to May, but with 219,800 Xbox 360 it is nowhere near the Sony PS3 sales.
Of course the Wii is still unbeatable with 660,000 Wii units sold in June, which is a slight decrease from the 675,000 sold in May, but hey this sales number is just huge.
