The Cowon S9 media player was introduced at the IFA 2008 in August. The Cowon has a hot design wrapped around a stunning 3.3 inch AMOLED color display.
Amazon.com sells the Cowon S9 with 16GB flash storage for $239.99.
The Cowon S9 has a curved backside and features a 3.3 inch color AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 480x272px resolution and 16m colors.
Other features of the Cowon S9 include 500Mhz Dual Core CPU, T-DMB TV, Bluetooth, FM tuner, voice recorder, G-Sensor, TV-Out, 40 hour music playback on a single battery charge, music, video and photo player, and Macromedia Flash User interface.
The Cowon S9 has the looks and the feature set to be a very nice alternative Christmas gift to the Apple iPod, but it looks like it is not shipping in time for Christmas day. It is always puzzling to me why companies miss out on the Holiday shopping seaon like that. Cowon is not the first one to miss the hot shopping season by a couple days.
