Sony published another firmware update for the Sony PS3 today. The new PS3 Firmware 2.42 improves the playback of PS3 and Playstation titles.
Sony is not diving into more details on what exactly the game play improvements are.
Sony ran into big issues when rolling out firmware 2.40. Firmware 2.41 solved the issue some PS3 owners experienced earlier this month.
Since it has only been three weeks since the last PS3 firmware update, the issues could be related to a high profile game.
