We reported on rumors about a new PSP-3000 in July. Now a Sony PSP-3001 console appears in the FCC database. The schematics show a PSP that we know today.
There is actually nothing new to spot. Documents detailing the specifications are of course filed confidentially.
Update:
Sony PSP-3000 unveiled
Rumors on what the new PSP would feature include built-in microphone, a new PS button similar to the one on the PS3, GPS and possibly even be the long rumored PSP phone. The FCC filing is disappointing, but it would not make any sense to release a new PSP without anything new.
