According to NDP the Sony PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 game console in July again. Sales are far less than in June, but still beating the Xbox 360 sales for the month.
The Sony PS3 sold 224,900 units and the Xbox 360 sold 204,800 units in the United States.
The unstopable Nintendo Wii outsold both, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 with 555,000 units sold during the month.
The Sony PS3 sold 405,500 units and the Xbox 360 sold 219,800 units in June. The Xbox 360 sales stayed pretty much constant, whereas the PS3 sales dropped dramatically. The reason for the high PS3 sales in June was the launch of MGS4.
It will be interesting if the Xbox 360 can improve their sales numbers and beat the PS3 in August and September with the new 60GB XBox 360 and the new lower pricing.
