In April we reported that well known Japanese notebook exporter Dynamism had the new Viliv S5 MID on sale. Dynamism tells us that they have sold 200 Viliv S5 within 2 hours. Looks like MIDs is what early adopters around to globe want. Today Dynamism is offering another 400 Viliv S5 Windows XP MIDs starting 1pm EST. Here's your chance to get one.
The viliv S5 is one of the first Mobile Internet Devices powered by an Intel Atom CPU running Windows XP. The small device features a 4.8 inch WSVGA touchscreen, 60GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The viliv S5 measures 6.0 x 3.3 x 0.96 inches ( 154(W) x 84(H) x 24.4(T) mm) and weighs 0.92 lbs (420g) with battery.
For $599 you get the Viliv S5 bundled with an accessory pack (car kit, spare battery, leather pouch $135 value).
