The phone has a voicemail indicator light that flashes to let users know voicemails are waiting and dedicated buttons to access e-mail and calendar. The Treo Pro supports Microsoft Direct Push Technology for connecting to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or 2007. The Treo Pro also has a removable and rechargeable battery and ships with a second battery.
The Treo Pro is a world phone capable of accessing high-speed the UMTS/HSDPA networks and can be used as a tethered modem for notebooks. Other features include integrated GPS and the phone is available unlocked in America. In Europe, the handset will be available in September through Vodafone for EUR 399 with contract.
