Seinfeld to sell Vista for Microsoft

Buy Windows XP from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

The WSJ reports that Microsoft spent a part of their $300 million advertising campaign to sell Vista to comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
Apparently Seinfeld will do skits with Bill Gates in TV spots starting September 4th.
I am totally looking forward to these commercials as the most likely will be very entertaining. Seinfeld is known world-wide for his legendary Seinfeld TV series that still gets tons of re-runs.
Will Seinfeld sell more Vista for Microsoft? I do not think so. Our super cute Vista Girl Candice, also apparently did not help sell Vista.
Microsoft tries to play the angle of wrong perception of Vista in the market place. The core issue is that Windows XP is good enough for most consumers. Apple's OS X is more aligned with the essentials computer users need every day and make it easy to use and look good. Vista looks good as well, but it is still a big bag of features most users do not need.
More details on the WSJ.
