Verizon Wireless announces today the Blitz QERTY texting phone.
The Blitz comes complete with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 2.2 inch color screen. Additionally the Blitz is equipped with an MP3 player that can access Verizon Wireless V CAST Music T Music with Rhapsody’s library of 5 million songs.
Other features of the Blitz include 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and headset jack.
The Blitz is a low-cost BlackBerry wannabe, which is not as cool as texting phone as the Sidekick from T-Mobile.
The Verizon Wireless Blitz is available for $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. Customers can sign up for V CAST Music with Rhapsody for a $14.99 monthly subscription.
