Update: Big Wii Sale on Walmart Monday December 8th 2008.
The Nintendo Wii console is selling for its normal $249 price on Walmart.com right now. It is not clear how many Wii consoles Walmart has in stock, but right now you can buy the Wii without any bundling requirements.
I have been monitoring the Wii page on Amazon for weeks and I have never seen them offering the Wii console at $249 online. As I have written in our first Holiday Gift Tip for our Top 100 Gift Idea Countdown of 2008 the Wii is best found in stores for the low original price.
As there is no price-cut in sight you should not hesitate to buy a Wii at $249 when you can if you want one for the Holidays. Get it now on Wal-mart.com.
The Nintendo Wii has lost nothing of its appeal through the unique interaction capabilities offered by the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Nintendo is even improving on this with the newly announced Wii MotionPlus.
Potentially Nintendo will release a new SKU bundling the Wii console, MotionPlus and Wii Sports Resort game for the Holidays.
