The Windows 7 pre-order deals launched today in UK, France and Germany. In Germany the sale on Windows 7 Home Premium for 49.99 Euro started at 9am. I checked before 9:30am and the Windows 7 deal was sold out and Amazon Deutschland already put up a special page saying that Microsoft did not give them more Windows 7 licenses at the low 49.99 Euro price.
In Germany only Windows 7 Home Premium is available at the 75% discount.
The Microsoft Store in Germany is overloaded right now. Microsoft put up a page saying: "Due to the eagerly anticipated Windows 7 pre-order offer we’re experiencing a higher level of demand on our website than usual.
This means you can’t access the site right now and we’re sorry about that. We’ll be back up and running as soon as we can so please try again soon to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7!"
Question is how many Windows 7 pre-order deals Microsoft is going to offer in Germany.
