Nintendo introduced a new color variant of the Nintendo DS console that will ship on September 7th. The Metallic Silver Nintendo DS is to be featured in the new upcoming Nintendo DS print ad featuring hot actress Liv Tyler.
You can already pre-order the Metallic Silver Nintendo DS Lite on Amazon.com for $129.99.

Liv Tyler already promoted the Brain Age 2 Nintendo DS game in a TV commercial. I guess the Metallic Silver Nintendo DS looks better in reality than on the product shot.
Amazon is actually limiting the DS purchases to 3 per household blaming high demand.
