Microsoft's hot new iPod contender, the Zune HD, is shipping on September 15th. The leaked Zune HD shipping date from last week got confirmed today as Microsoft updated its Zune HD page with pre-order links to retailers carrying the Zune HD.
The top of the line 32GB Zune HD sells for $289.99 and the 16GB Zune HD has a price-tag of $219.99.
The highlight of the new Zune HD is the multi-touch navigation on a 3.3 inch 16:9 OLED touchscreen display with 480x272px resolution. The new Zune HD supports multi-touch navigation like the Apple iPod touch.
Other feature highlights of the Microsoft Zune HD include integrated HD Radio receiver, HD video out support 720p HD movies (requires Zune HD & AV Dock), Wi-Fi, built-in accelerometer, web browser, and touchscreen QWERTY keyboard.

Other retailers have not updated their shops yet, but Best Buy and Walmart will carry the Zune HD as well.
