Activision announced that Guitar Hero World Tour would feature Sting and the rock band Tool. Activision says that the game will have the largest music catalog of any Guitar Hero game ever published. Sting's voice will be used in the game and his likeness as a playable character. Tool will not add any playable characters to the game just their music including hits like Parabola, Schism, and Vicarious.

Everyone on the planet probably already knows that Guitar Hero World Tour will take a cue from Rock Band and offer vocals, drums and guitar play. The game will also include a Music Studio to let players customize their own songs for play in the game. The game will also support online multi-player play.

The exact release date is unknown and only Fall has been announced by Activision. It’s a safe bet that the game will show up in October or November, surely in time for the holiday shopping season.
