Almost everyone has a MP3 player of some sort today. The vast majority of MP3 player owners use Apple iPod's. The latest market data shows Apple holds over 70% of the DAP market. Second place on the list goes to SanDisk and its Sansa leaving other makers like Microsoft fighting it out for the third place spot.

Microsoft is fighting to get its Zune player into more hands and to do so it is offering higher storage capacity at prices similar to previous models of the Zune. Microsoft now has a 120GB Zune that will start shipping around September 12th for $249.99. The device is sized like the Zune's we are used to measuring 5.5" x 3.4" x 1.8".

For Whom:

The 120GB Zune DAP is perfect for the music and movie fan looking for a portable DAP with lots of storage space that isn’t from Apple.

The Good:

  • Lots of storage space
  • Nice features
  • Not an iPod

The Bad:

  • Not an iPod

Where to Buy:
