EA Adds GvR Contest to Skate 2

EA announced that it has added one of the skateboarding world's most popular contests to the upcoming Skate 2 game for the Xbox and PS3. EA has added the annual Goofy versus regular Skateboarding competition to Skate 2. Players will lead a team of skaters of one stance or the other in a team competition.

Skate 2 picks up 5 years after the original game and players have to rebuild the city of San Vanelona and its skate scene after a disaster left the city crumbling. Players have to do well in the main game to be invited to the GvR contest.

"I was stoked when EA committed to putting our etnies Goofy vs. Regular event in their new game! GvR is one the best skate contests of the year and has created some of the most hype and friction over the past 5 years," said Don Brown, senior vice president of marketing for Sole Technology and goofy footed skateboarder. "The original Skate was incredibly popular, so we're really proud to be a part of Skate 2."
