HP introduced a cool All-in-One PC dubbed Touchsmart this summer. The Touchsmart is actually ahead of the Apple iMac as it features a touchscreen.
The HP TouchSmart systems feature HP software designed to be operated with the touch of a finger. Users can watch TV, create playlists, listen to music and check weather and email without using a mouse or keyboard.
The HP TouchSmart is pretty nicely configured to run Windows Vista.
There are two main models of the HP TouchSmart with the IQ504 and the IQ506. The HP TouchSmart 506 series features TV and PVR hardware and software and the 504 does not have these media features.
The best selling HP TouchSmart is the IQ506 on Amazon.com. The configuration of that TouchSmart include 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5850 Processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive and Vista Premium.
Measurements of the TouchSmart are 21"(W) x 2.6" (D/L) x 17.4" (H) approx.
For Whom:
For people who like cool cutting edge products, but are not necessarily Apple OS X fans and would rather stick with Windows. The TouchSmart looks great and can nicely pretty up a home office, living room or an executive desk.
The Good:
Powerful All-In-One PC
Touchscreen
Stylish
The Bad:
Windows Vista
Difficult to upgrade
Where to Buy:
The HP TouchSmart sells in various configurations on Amazon.com. The IQ506 sells for $13,99.99 on Amazon.com. The IQ504 sells for $1,199.99 on Amazon.com. Compare Prices on other retailers here. See also the HP shop for easy customization.
