Ion Premium Drum Set for Rock Band Available Now

Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 officially launched Sunday and ION announced that its premium drum kit for the game is also available. The kit is called the Drum Rocker and the initial version is for Xbox 360. A version that will work for the PS3 will be coming in time for the launch of the game.

Nice features of the premium drum kit include a metal bass pedal, velocity sensitive drum, and cymbal pads. The ability to support three cymbal pads and dual bass pedals allow for customization. For those who decide they want to rock for real, the drum controller can be turned into a full USB electronic drum set with the purchase of an additions drum brain. The price for the kit is $299.99 and it supports Rock Band and Rock Band 2.

"Since we announced Drum Rocker, the demand has been overwhelming, and we're excited to be able to put the kit in the hands of the Rock Band community," said Adam Cohen, Director of Business Development, ION. "Thanks to our strong partnership with Harmonix, ION is thrilled to be able to add even more realism to the gameplay experience that Rock Band and Rock Band 2 offers."
