LG announces the first mass production 17 inch LCD display with RGB LED backlighting.
RGB LED delivers 105% of the NTSC Color gamut, which is 40% more than normal panels. Additionally the RGB LED backlit panels deliver 30% more contrast.
Many new released TVs use already RGB LED backlighting; now new notebooks can have the same quality.
