iRiver will start shipping the unique iRiver SPINN media player in the United States on October 3rd.
The SPINN was already unveiled at CES 2008 earlier this year, but is now finally making its way to customers.
The real killer feature of the Spinn is the user interface with the same name. By turning (spinning) a wheel you can navigate through the nicely animated user interface.
Feature highlights of the iRiver SPINN include 3.3 inch color OLED display with 480 x 372px, Bluetooth 2.0, 25h music playback on single charge, and FM Tuner. The iRiver SPINN supports all kinds of video and music formats including WMA, MP3, OGG, and AVI.
The iRiver SPINN measures 99.5x51x10.7mm and the weight is 70g.
iRiver sells the SPINN in 4GB and 8GB storage configurations.
The iRiver SPINN is one of the few portable media players that are a valid alternative to the Apple iPod armada.
The iRiver SPINN 4GB sells for $249.99 and the 8GB SPINN has a price of $289.99. You can pre-order the SPINN now on the iRiver shop. Via OLED-Info. The iRiver SPINN is also listed on Amazon.com.
