New Nintendo DSi Accessory is supposedly a Pedometer

Yesterday we featured the Nintendo DSi Promotion Video with a screen grab of a mystery DSi accessory.
The little one button device is apparently a pedometer that ties to an upcoming fitness title for the Nintendo DSi.
There have been trademarks filed by Nintendo related to a pedometer supporting this.
Since the Nintendo DSi is after all a portable console it could make sense to tie your walking or running to a fitness software like the Nike iPod system.
Since the DSi is not launching outside of Japan this year, you can also just forget about this item for now.
Via Joystiq. Find out more details about the Nintendo DSi here.
