According to Elecom, the service can recover a variety of system passwords including NTLM and Windows startup passwords, crack MD5 hashes, unlock password-encrypted documents from Office 97-2007, secure PDF files, and Unix or Oracle passwords.
ElecomSoft says that using the Tesla S1070 computing System for the task is up to 100 times faster for password recovery that a modern dual or quad-core CPU. The password recovery system is used by government agencies, data and password recovery services, and corporate users.
