Asus got some heat for their high pricing of their Intel Atom based netbook offerings. Now the company offers a new version of the Eee 900 featuring an Intel Atom CPU for $299.99 available on BestBuy (Via JKontheRun).
The low price comes with some limitations. The Asus Eee A900 only has a rather small 4GB SSD and runs Linux and not Windows XP.
If you just need a netbook to surf the web and check emails than the Eee 900A is a great choice for the money.
If you actually want to carry around some files and do some work then the Acer Aspire One with its 160GB HDD is a better choice for $100 more on Amazon.com.
