The lenses are coated with a new Minotec multicoating that helps repel dirt, dust, and water from external glass surfaces. The binoculars are focused with a single knob for ease of use and the body is made from magnesium.
The devices weigh only 23.3 ounces and have a rubber coating to add drop protection. For added protection in and around water, the binoculars are water resistant to 16 feet. The APO HG binoculars come in a wooden box and have a leather case at a retail price of $1799 for the 8.5x43 and $1849 for the 10x43.
