The iPhone makes for a seriously fun gaming platform thanks to the accelerometer. It allows you to move the device all around for a very interesting control system. One of the latest puzzle games for the iPhone is called Plank from Freeverse and Strange Flavour.

Plank is a puzzle game and claims to be the first puzzle game based almost exclusively on the accelerometer. In the game, you tilt the steam powered hydraulic plank to catch colored marbles and roll them to match as they fall. If too many marbles are on the plank, it will collapse. Players collect power ups along the way. The game is available for download now for $1.99.

“Plank is an ideal game for the iPhone,” said Aaron Fothergill, Managing Director of Strange Flavour. “It seems easy and casual at first, but a few levels into the "Nnnaaarrrgh!" difficulty game and you’ll be twitching!”
